Very bright. I kept it on the side of my kitchen fridge and the magnet held up well. I also embrace while working on the closet I live this feature. Due to a power outage during a major storm and other flashlights not being bright enough when I saw and tested this I bought one for myself and a few for family members. Came with batteries. This is the best flashlight I have ever had and I have had many (square camping flashlight, battery operated flashlight, portable wind lamp from small to large, those that need buttons, C batteries, D and more, candles (with and without batteries) This is better than all of them and the price is reasonable, just under $10.
