Vinyl is new to me, especially t-shirt vinyl so I've never used them. The tools that come with it are great and it's one of the best deals you'll find on many. I love all the vinyl sheets that come with it! This gives me a lot of room to test and experiment! I used it with a large vinyl cutter (Vinyl Express R II) which I am still learning to use. I've found that with a machine this big the sheets fall off close to the edge when cutting because the machine seems made for big rolls of vinyl lol. such. I found that trying to cut a design onto a 12x12 sheet and getting it to cut exactly where it was wasn't possible, at least for me. So if you're using them with a large vinyl cutter, tape a few sheets together or stick paper on them to keep them from falling off when you cut them. We smoothed it out on a t-shirt. We watched a few YouTube videos first because the instructions that came with the sheets seemed poorly translated. It's about membranes and so I wasn't sure which side to cut lol. Always put the shiny side down when cutting - the cutter should do it - but the matte side is the vinyl and the shiny side is the clear backing film. When ironing, we probably did this for about 30 seconds - we did 15 seconds at first, but that didn't seem like enough (iron was set for wool). We didn't have teflon paper so we used parchment paper and it seemed to work. We cleaned it after it cooled and the design looks amazing! It is very soft and elastic, it is also very comfortable to wear. As long as it lasts, especially the very intricate details. I'll try putting it in the washing machine and see how it handles the wash and then update my review.
