The cups look chic. I examined everyone. Only one arrived scratched. They seem to be somewhat durable. I can compress them easily and they seem flexible. I'm not worried about them cracking in my guests' hands. My biggest complaint and I wouldn't buy them again is that they all had a light film of gold dust around the rim. I had to wipe out all 100 cups to prevent my guests from eating the gold/plastic dust. To me, that's unacceptable and probably not good for dishes. You can see the photo of the dust I got from wiping the rims of a total of 40 cups. To be honest, I could spend my precious time elsewhere than wiping mugs.
