My little (#10) terrier just loves to bark. I have had several of these bark collars over the years and the average "lifespan" is around 18 months - 2 years. So far so good with that. Two features that make it the best of all: 1. It will NOT turn off after a few hours of inactivity. Since nighttime barking is a problem for my dog (he will bark for about an hour, sleep for a while and then start again once it's light), it was necessary for the collar to stay on. Many do this even though the manufacturer/seller has indicated they will not.2. Fee - we use this every night from 11pm. - 7am and then undress and turn off. With this usage, it stays charged for more than 2 weeks. Others I had had to be charged in just 3-5 days. ** I find the collar very humane. After the first bark, he makes a chirp that usually stops the barking. If for some reason she keeps barking, she will be discouraged and the barking will stop. She never "learned" not to bark at all with this collar, she is a stubborn dog but it has made a huge difference and my neighbor no longer calls me or complains!
