This is a teacup-sized mini-mister. It uses an ultrasonic generator to make mist from the body of water it floats in.In a small bowl (12-18" wide) the fog effect will look like dry ice, burbling and flowing over the edges of the bowl, but anything larger than that and the mist dissipates too quickly. We tried it in our pond and it didn't really work so well. Also, the little roof structure is not very securely attached - just three struts that are friction-fit into the base, and they pop out really easily. Maybe a dab of glue or tape would keep them in, but we managed to lose one of the struts before that was possible. It'd probably be really cute for a 'witches brew' effect on Halloween, and save you the mess of dry ice.
