I was skeptical about the reviews but there are quite a lot of them so I decided to buy. With so many versions of this theme, I chose the one with the most feedback. I needed a white noise machine to play an MP3 I bought at Revain from a "white noise fan". To avoid an accident when I left it on, I decided to find an old micro SD card and make 10 versions of this 1 hour file. It basically plays for 10 hours so I don't have to go back and pause it every day. This was my alternative to my Echos, which would not play a song on multiple Echos at night for longer than the song's duration. The white noise sound quality is excellent. It had to be a little loud, with no distortion, and it needed some bass. It hit smoothly and then some. I thought I had duds. First I used software to bulk rename my mp3 files and accidentally removed the .mp3 file from the name. Then it was played. SWEET! I also scrolled the light, and it was oddly buggy on the last step. I've weighed all my life choices whether I need to return it or if it's really a problem. What if it's a fire hazard? Then I read that this is a "party guy" mode. So I plugged my phone into Aux and we had a dance party with Pit Bull's Fireball. Excellent stuff. And yes, even this song played very well on battery power! We are thinking of buying at least one more when visiting family out of town in post Covid life. Yes, these parents need white noise too.
