This review is for HiLetGo's ESP8285 wireless development board. First, two packs of ESP8285 are included in the purchase. In terms of hardware, ESP8266 is a well-known wireless microchip, this ESP8285 is basically ESP8266 + 1MB Flash. Thanks to the built-in flash, the Wemos D1 lite is less clunky than the Wemos D1 mini. From a software perspective, the easiest way to program this chip is to use the Arduino IDE. You just have to select Wemos D1 Lite in the board settings. Remember that the ESP8266 and ESP8285 are the same chip, so any existing esp8286 sketch should theoretically work with this chip (as the flash size is quite large as the esp8286 has an external flash that is 1MB can be larger). I installed one of the sample sketches called "CheckFlashConfig". In fact, this confirms that the flash memory size is 1048576 bytes. So far I haven't had any problems with this board and am very satisfied as it is very easy to use.
