Ideal for light duty/office use, which is what they are made for.

Well, first of all, half of the reviews complain that they puke with the household waste. They are not intended for intensive home use, but for office use. If you want something stiffer in larger sizes, look for drum liners which are made for heavier use and are most commonly used to cover 55 gallon metal drums. Second, they're great for household rubbish as long as you double them, don't overload them, or fill them with heavy/sharp/sharp objects.
