There may be some distortion here as I included this in my very first build but in general I've had issues with the Phanteks RGB settings. I built my first PC in a Phanteks case and added this RGB strip. I've been plugging and unplugging this RGB strip and the case connectors from all the different RGB inputs on my motherboard and no matter how hard I try I can't change the RGB settings on either this RGB strip or the Phanteks case . Phanteks is lucky that the rainbow stripe effect doesn't bother me because if I didn't like it I'd be furious that I can't change the RGB settings on this product. Also, all Phanteks RGB start flickering when I turn the BIOS on and off and the only way to fix this is to turn the computer off and on again completely. Excellent. I know a lot of people despise peripheral software, but if Phanteks only had software to control RGB settings I would be much happier with their RGB products. Maybe after a few weeks of troubleshooting I'll find a permanent solution - never mind, 3/5 stars for me. UPDATE: For those who are interested, I found out what my Phanteks RGB is all about. I unplugged all 3-pin or 4-pin RGB connectors from my motherboard and made sure SATA power was coming to my case connectors and all RGB modes "worked". It worked in the sense that my motherboard software (Asus ROG Strix) wasn't communicating properly with my case's RGB lighting, so I completely disabled the RGB connections from both. Now I'm just left with a basic RGB case setup that's out of sync with every RGB on my motherboard. Luckily I can connect the single 3 pin RGB connector that my Phanteks case offers to this RGB strip and hopefully connect other Phanteks ARGB products later. I think the lesson, as usual, is that not all RGB products interact with each other, especially when they're made by different companies and manufacturers. Buyer Warning.
