I bought two of these for my granddaughters, 3 and 6 years old. You are perfect. I inflated each one depending on how big it needs to be so that its little feet are properly touching the ground and it's fun. Both have room for additional inflation so I expect a couple of years for a 6 year old and a couple of years for a 3 year old. The products seem durable and the hand pump is so easy to use that I let my older child pump on her own until she gets bored. In general, for the money paid, this is a good toy. UPDATE: We've had them for a few years now and they're still holding up well. We live in Maine where winters can be long and harsh. These balls remained inflated and exposed to the weather through warm summers and frigid winters. Colors fade a bit, but that's to be expected under these conditions. However, the usability of the toy is still as good as ever. The 3 and 6 year olds are now 5 and 7 and still enjoy it. We tested them after the winter and pumped them up a bit and they are ready for next season. We have a 2 year old girl now so we will either buy a third one or repeat one of the others when the girls are older. For the money this was a great buy.
