I love this thing so much. I bought three for Christmas, gave one to my father, one to my uncle and kept the third for myself. It's very easy to fly and has a neat button that lets the drone do flips. It's pretty fast and sounds like a very loud mosquito. I've had a lot of fun flying this thing indoors and out. It can collide with objects and not damage them. It's great for those who want to learn how to fly a drone. The remote control requires batteries, as far as I know, 4 AAA, and the drone itself needs to be charged. The box comes with a cable that plugs into the drone to charge it, but no power outlet. Therefore, you need to charge it through a computer or use an adapter for a wall outlet. Be warned the drone only flies for about 5 minutes which is a bummer. This thing is so much fun to fly and dies so fast it makes me so sad. I want to go ahead and invest in a more expensive drone that lasts at least 15 minutes. I have two dogs that shed and when I fly the drone in small hairs can get caught on the underside of the propellers, they are easy to remove and clean in seconds. Make sure you adjust the propellers correctly or your drone will fly like a drunk. Be sure to read the manual, it explains how to calibrate and balance the drone before takeoff. It covers hover modes and how to change speed. If the indicators on it flash red quickly, the drone's flight time is less than a minute. I learned this the hard way and had to hop to my neighbors with all my might to get my 10pm drone. As luck would have it, my neighbor walked right out his front door as I walked out of his yard. I had to put my hands up and tell him I'm his neighbor and I'm taking my drone. I caught fire and thought I would be shot. It was quite an interesting first meeting.
