Not constant but insignificant difference

I got this after my old thermometer of another brand stopped working. At first everything seemed to be working perfectly until I decided to check the temperature with a traditional thermometer, then I noticed that there was a slight temperature difference. I then decided to check the temperature in my ear and then on my forehead. The temperature readings varied slightly. I wouldn't consider these readings 100 percent accurate, although you can take an average to get an idea of the temperature.
