The pedal broke off - dangerous!

At first I liked the pedals but after 6 months of use the pedal came loose while I was in the middle of cycling. The pedal broke off in the metal part between the pedal and the part that screws into my bike. When it came loose, the metal piece cut through my leggings and leg. I couldn't even take it out of my shoes afterwards. Luckily I was able to catch myself on the steering wheel, otherwise it would have been much worse.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Good but not great
