I am impressed with the quality of these pillows. I found the zipper hole wasn't big enough for my 18x18 pillow and I poke through a few threads while inserting them. To be honest, this bug could have been exploited, but I just wanted to include it in the review. However, this did not change the look of the pillowcase or its ability to zip up. If you have a patterned pillow and use one of the white backed covers there's a chance it will peek out but then again that's not an issue that would put me off a big deal like this. I wouldn't call them "soft" either, but they're not scratchy or rough at all. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend these pillowcases.
