Fell apart after first use

I used this guy once and it was great, then I used it a second time and the retaining strut came out, put it back in and fell out again after a twist . only by my hand. The metal parts that stick out due to the design will get stuck in the pads if you overtighten them and you will have to pull them apart. I was hoping for a cheap one while waiting for a better one, but I think I'll just wait.
