I spend many hours a day in a wood workshop and therefore subject my watch to all kinds of abuse. After receiving good iWatches within a week and scratching them, it's time to take preventive measures. I tried gluing covers and plastic screens but none of them worked well with the shower. In short, this case has been perfect for me so far! Water repellent, scratch resistant but retains a very good touch response :). The included watch bands (I have 2 bands!) have an innovative pin design that makes pin attachment/removal MUCH easier. Assembly is very easy, though replacing the back is a bit tricky (but hey, you wanted a waterproof one!). One small caveat is that when charging the watch, the case prevents the charger from touching it as close as "naked" to the watch. But it still charges. If you don't like the chunky look, then keep looking. For me it was function, function, function. Oh yes, external buttons work perfectly too. Comments: Several reviewers complained and complained about water leaking from the watch case; I did find the case back to require some effort to position the watch after the Insert to reseal. Leaks can occur if the back is not fully closed. I've done everything but dip my hand in the lake and so far I haven't had any leaks. Update: I did the other day - maybe a year later - bought my second case to solve the above problem! That's an imperfect water seal. While I'm not entirely sure, I think the case first blew through leaked when I took the kids to the paddling pool instead of the showers. Not that this was a crisis in itself, as the case is easy to open and dry with an alcohol wipe. However, it seems that after a few iterations of opening/drying/closing, the watch's seal progressively deteriorated and leaked in the shower. On the plus side, the plastic dial cover worked very well, which for me was the main feature I needed. Almost no scratches after a year of use. Generally I bought a second one to see if the seal worked better.
