I bought this camera for ice fishing. I have tried cameras from Cabela, Aqua-Vu and other brands and this camera is a great alternative especially for the price. The image is in color (9 inches) and is the clearest camera I have ever used. The carrying case (mini case) is also very handy, takes up very little space compared to other cameras and protects the camera both on and off the ice. I bought both the 7 inch and 9 inch color versions of this camera and they work great. The only downside of the 9 inch camera is that the battery didn't last that long (only around 5 hours). The 7-inch camera's battery performs very well (all-day use, 8-9 hours). We think it could just be a bad battery. The good news is the customer service has been great and they are working with us on the battery issue. The other good news is that changing the battery in the middle of the day is very easy with this camera; no bolts, screws or disassembling things. Just disconnect the ends of the terminal and connect it to a backup battery and you're back in business. I highly recommend other brand names that probably cost more than $$.
