Happy to get these!

A while ago, I got a set of around 10" x 10" quilting fabric bundles. I have been working on, with some coordinating fabric packs, into making quilt blocks. I made 83 blocks. I am hoping to make Project Linus quilts, a charity for babies and children in need or who have been going through a rough time. I needed 17 more blocks to make 4 total quilts using 25 blocks each. So to get this batch of fabric makes me happy as it coordinates with the blocks already made. I will be able to make up 17 more blocks in fabrics that go along with the other quilts blocks that I have already made. I love making scrap quilts, which is what these will essentially be, but I like making controlled scrap quilts. So all I have to do now is cut these fabrics up into 10" x 10" squares and then into my usual pre-cut sizes that I use for making scrap quilts. I love putting different fabrics together and to see if they work together and coordinate. Some make scrap quilts with no sense of whether the fabrics might go together or not. I am not like that. I especially like this pack because of the Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo stands out and will be a main theme fabric in one of the quilts when I finish it.I do appreciate the opportunity to try out this fabric and I'm sure the children and their parents that get these quilts will be appreciative as well. Thank you.

Pros
  • Love the prints. Only downside is fabric frayed quite a bit after washing.
Cons
  • Some customers may not appreciate the loud and flashy colors of the parrots, limiting its appeal to a niche market
