Very nice silk hair cap. I discovered them by accident last year and now I have several of them. They really make a difference to my hair. I have long, thin, baby-like hair that gets terribly tangled when I sleep unless I braid it. I also have to wash it every day because overnight it gets so flat, limp and greasy. No amount of styling the next morning will make them look their best. I've been sleeping on silk pillowcases for a few years now and when I first saw a silk hat I wasn't clear what the point was - I thought I was already using silk which reduces friction on my hair and helps keep my hair to keep hair and scalp moisturized. But I ordered one just to try and I was so glad I did. Wearing one of my silk hats not only keeps my curls/hair intact, but my hair is smooth, straight and voluminous! + does not get tangled! I can easily skip a day between shampoos and my hair looks clean and healthy. This silk hair hat is very thin and light - the density of silk fabric is 19 momme, which is considered light for silk. I have other 22 and 25 mom baseball caps that are a little more luxurious than this one. This one feels very good; it is smooth and soft and has the subtle sheen you would expect from a silk fabric (shiny fabric side, matte inner side of fabric). I like the style that isn't too chunky. I have a silk hat that's so big it looks a bit like a chef's hat and I think it would be perfect for someone with thick, heavy, knee-length hair, but it looks a bit ridiculous on me. This has enough space for my hair, but is not too big. Elasticated back and drawcord for an adjustable fit. The hat is very comfortable (so tight that it doesn't bother even in summer) and strangely enough lasts all night. I chose the champagne color which is a subtle dark gray and very pretty. The current price of $19.99 seems reasonable to me, especially since this hat is made of 6A silk fibers (highest grade). I hand wash all my silk and hang them to dry indoors to keep them out of the sun.
