Worked surprisingly well for a third party. These are pretty good joycon controllers if you're looking for a larger grip size. Remember they don't have a loop to tighten the strap. Also, these controllers are designed to give you a better grip than your traditional OEM joycon. Unlike many other third-party joycons, this one comes with its own unique adapter to turn it into a controller. This one is a bit unique in that it has three card slots in the middle that you can use to store games if you want. Basically, you can carry games around without taking a suitcase, which is nice. The inside is pretty tight, which is nice. The grip and middle section actually feel quite comfortable and I would say it takes a bit of getting used to as I'm used to thin joycons. They can be charged at the switch itself, which is pretty cool. You can work together or separately. You don't feel comfortable using them individually because one side is larger than the other. Basically, one side appears very little white while the other side appears larger. It also doesn't work with a ring, so be aware. I tried it and the ring wouldn't recognize it, but it makes sense. It feels solid and the plastic on these joycons is pretty good. It reproduces the animal crossing color of the green and sky blue Nintendo joycon quite well. The color is slightly different, so it doesn't really match. There is no LED on the home button, so you won't see any updates or what's new for the Switch. In terms of layout, the controller is pretty much the same as your traditional joycons. All buttons are responsive and there are no lag or drag issues. Total usage time was about until the switch was fully charged before I had to charge the controller again. Pairing the controllers is very easy and all you have to do is just plug them in and they will automatically detect the switch. After connecting it for the first time, it's really easy to restore it. It turns on and connects automatically, but it takes two or three seconds to actually respond compared to an OEM Joycon. It also turns itself off when there is no activity. The adapter to turn them into a controller is very solid and works very well. I was very happy with it. Overall these are good joycons if you're looking for the Animal Crossing style but still have great grip. The downside is that it doesn't work with a ring and doesn't have a wrist strap. The center piece is nice and a great way to carry around extra games. The plastic sculpt is good and pretty close to the Animal Crossing controller.
