Review on Hotel Sheets Direct Bamboo Viscose by Mariah Johnson

I sent it back the same day I received it in the mail. Thank goodness I have Amazon Prime and it was free / no problem returning it. I had my doubts when I saw the price and the reviews and of course when I saw and touched them in person I could tell right away that it is NOT bamboo, if they have any bamboo at all I am sure it is a very small one Percentage they add to a whole ton of polyester. The label says 100% bamboo viscose, but I know for a fact that's a lie. I am a bamboo fanatic, all of my pajamas, my current bed sheet, all of my baby's comforters/diapers, most of his sleepwear pajamas and a large amount of his overalls are all made out of bamboo. I'm really obsessed with this for so many reasons, it's amazing stuff. I've spent almost as much ($50) on a single bamboo baby blanket as this entire set of sheets cost. Bamboo is a fast object, but that's because of how dreamy and amazing it is. I was kind of skeptical about this item/price - to put it mildly, I thought they can't lie that blatantly, but that's the internet and they can and certainly did lie. Real bamboo is incredibly soft, stretchy like butter and yet very breathable. Really only the best feeling for your skin. It's cool to the touch and very stretchy, it's also a natural weight, almost like a weighted blanket (making it perfect for bedding/pyjamas/baby swaddles or for an adult with sensitive skin/sleeping issues like mine). One of the reasons I love bamboo so much is because I have insanely sensitive skin/psoriasis that is really made worse by harsh and/or synthetic products so I've gotten very good at recognizing which materials are natural vs are synthetic, and these linens are synthetic-free I doubt. It was plastic/silky and very shiny, I rubbed it on my cheek and it was rough. I also rubbed it between my fingers and it was grainy and I could hear it rubbing together. None of these things will happen with real bamboo, or even a high bamboo content. We also have an extra polyester sheet for emergencies/guests and it appears to be identical to this and nothing to compare to the various bamboos we already have. further proof that it is a fake. I'm so sad for the other reviewers who have never experienced this before and don't know how it's supposed to be and think it's bamboo. they look nice and shiny, but these are the same polyester sheets that you can buy a lot cheaper at Walmart, for example. Definitely not bamboo, unfortunately! Bamboo doesn't shine at all. Now I'm back to organic cotton/flannel sheets and saving up for real bamboo lol.
