Runs like a champ! Plugged it in, inserted a screw to hold it in place, then turned on the computer. First nothing! I thought, ah, maybe I should have bought the M key PCIe type instead of this B+M key SATA III type. I rebooted and it was recognized (ugh). Turns out M.2 is backwards compatible with PCIe support (at least on the Gigabyte Z97X motherboard). Go to disk management, initialize, format, assign drive letters, done!
