Review on Thumb Spica Wrist Brace - Aircast A2 Support For Improved Comfort And Stability by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good product at it's price point

Overall, I liked this product. I selected this product to replace a cast for a thumb injury (cut tendon). It kept my thumb immobilized and protected with the necessary wrist constraint until the tendon healed.I would have given this product a five star but I had an issue with the thumb spica stabilizer. The stabilizer is shaped 90 degrees. I did some customization to round out the stabilizer to cradle my thumb. (Not sure why it was designed that way) After that, it was more comfortable and still retained it's integrity. I'm not sure if this was an issue with anyone else. My thumb was more sensitive due the stitches along the thumb. In addition, the product is not as breathable as it's advertised. With a little perspiration, the dampness that I felt in the brace did not go away that quickly. I had to take it off to let it air out. If you're an active person that will be working out with the brace, plan on airing out the brace.

Pros
  • Arm, Hand & Finger Supports
Cons
  • The brace may not be suitable for use during certain activities, such as sports
