Review on Sous Vide Precision Cooker with Folding Stainless Steel Rack, Accurate 🍗 Temperature Digital Timer, Ultra-Quiet - Ideal for Cooking Steak, Meat, Chicken & More! by Olivia Turner

Revain's cheapest sous vide stick - for good reason.

I cook most meat, some fish and sometimes vegetables in sous vide. Crème Brûlée is also suitable for sous vide preparation. The benefit of all these foods is that you avoid overcooking. For tough cuts of meat, prolonged simmering in gravy (24-48 hours) results in tender and flavorful meat. I have had a Sansair sous vide stick for 4 years and use it about 20 times a year with good results. I bought a sous vide bonsenkitchen to keep in the kitchen of my newly purchased RV. There are serious inaccuracies in the user manual. When trying to turn on the device, the instruction "Press the mode button for 3 seconds" fails. The mode button is not visible. After asking customer service for help, my call was answered quickly, but the agent knew nothing about the device and did nothing to help. I ended up figuring out how to turn it on through trial and error. You have to press and hold the confirmation button for 3 seconds to start. Once you have completed the cycle and set the hours, temperature and minutes (odd order), you must return to temperature to confirm and start cooking. The temperature never reached my set point of 140F. It stayed at 138 and sometimes went as high as 139. It might work fine, but the problems are annoying. Gordon of Columbus, Ohio. It's probably not enough temperature difference to matter, but the Sansaire will reach the set temperature and then stay there.
