I ordered some Turkish cotton towels because I had the silly idea that I could use them instead of bath towels on vacation to reduce the weight and bulk of my luggage save up. Having tried them numerous times fresh out of the shower, I would say that this idea is not for beginners. The towels are too thin and not absorbent enough for everyday use. They're soft and quite comfortable, but it's like drying yourself with a very large kitchen towel. However, these towels are perfect for the beach or pool on a sunny day. They're good enough to soak up enough water for the sun to do the rest, and they're thin enough to dry quickly in the sun without becoming damp, sandy rags to toss in the laundry. as soon as you get home. You look damn good too. I have the color aquamarine and my wife loves it.
