Review on Electric scooter MIDWAY i- Max PRO gray (18000 mAh, up to 40 km/h, 600 W) by Momchil Kinov ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not particularly happy with it, but it's mostly okay.

I will evaluate the scooter by comparing it with Xiaomi m365 PRO, on which I traveled for about three years. And I bought Midway because I wanted something more powerful and faster. The scooter is faster, accelerates faster and holds a charge longer - I kind of got what I wanted, but in every other way the Midway loses. I will write everywhere else from the shortcomings - there is not enough space. Weight: The scooter is very heavy! Even for me, an adult strong man, it is hard to carry it. I could pick up the m365 in my arms, if there are no skids on the stairs and carry it like that - you won’t be able to pick it up in your arms - it’s too big and heavy. Estimate the length and number of ladders in your entrance - if the entrance is not at ground level - think several times before taking this model. Well, a couple of controversial points: Call: without going into details, I’ll say that a simple design with a percussive bell in the m365 is more convenient - the bell fits under the thumb, and here you need to move your hand on the steering wheel. Helmet: I’ll probably say the obvious thing, but to ride such a scooter you need a full-size helmet (not a bicycle one, but a motorcycle one) - the wind makes your eyes water and it blows in your ears. Yes, and it is simply dangerous without a normal helmet at such speeds.

Pros
  • Power: the scooter is obviously faster than the m365 - at a maximum of 40 km / h versus 25 that I had. Confidently pulls uphill my 92 kg. In 5 seconds it accelerates to 25-30 km / h, in another 10 seconds - up to 35. Battery: lasts noticeably longer than the m365 - rode for about 2.5 hours, drove about 30 km, while using up a little more than half the charge. Size: deck is longer and wider than m365 - more comfortable to stand, wider wheels (10"). Rollover: Rides better than m365, retains momentum longer.
Cons
  • Application: There is no official application. Seriously? Does scooter have no app in 2022? You should put one star for this. Seriously, if I knew that it would be so - I wouldn’t take a scooter, but what other model would I look at. There is something like MIDWAY MAX - but it does not start at all. There is some kind of application with a QR code in the instructions, but the link is broken. There is just MIDWAY - it starts, but the scooter does not see. The reviews write about the KCQ Scooter application - it starts, but crashes when searching for a scooter. Gorgeous dances with a tambourine. Declared speed: never 40 mph. In fact, only 35, and even up to 40 accelerates only on a straight, flat road in the absence of a headwind, and only 33-35, which in reality is about 30 mph. Advertising: 10/10, attitude towards customers: 0/10. Brake: The brake works quite effectively, but you need to brake in advance - at high speed and mass, the braking distance is quite long. This is basically logical. But what is not logical: the brake force is proportional to the speed - at a low speed, the scooter stops braking at all! At speeds below 7 mph, the scooter does not slow down. As a result, I almost flew out onto the roadway several times. I tried to use the brake when driving downhill - the same thing, it slows down quite well, but DOES NOT BRAKES TO THE END! Be very careful. Or I don't know, maybe I don't understand something? Folding mechanism: was it difficult to make a stopper on the lever, how to do it in m365? I don't understand. You ride, but you are afraid that the lever will fall off by itself. No, it holds on quite tightly, but you never know - what kind of bump you run into and the scooter at a speed of 40 km / h will develop under you. Khzkhz. Charging: not only does the screen not show the charging of the scooter, but the plug on the socket barely holds. Was it difficult to insert a magnet into it, as in m365?
