If you use a lot of plastic spoons but don't need a heavy version these are great. Cat food, yogurt, rice pudding, fruit cups, mac and cheese, soup, creamy peanut butter - these spoons are great. They seem to hold up well in hot food. Better than I expected. I think that the thin handle and its shape can cause problems for people with disabilities and small children. I use a sturdier plastic spoon for heavy things like cookie dough and crunchy peanut butter. You might be able to do it, but I don't want to risk losing my food because the spoon is broken. They look a bit flimsy, so if you're throwing a fancy party, you might want to opt for more upscale plastic paraphernalia. Using them for easier use saves me a pack.
