This drill bit was used to drill a hole for a shower switch in 3/8 inch thick hard-paste porcelain. It worked great. I was able to use a drill press and create a dam with putty to keep the water around the drill bit throughout the process. Take your time and you'll have the perfect hole in no time. The porcelain I work with is very hard and difficult to work with, but this piece did the job.
