This drill bit was used to drill a hole for a shower switch in 3/8 inch thick hard-paste porcelain. It worked great. I was able to use a drill press and create a dam with putty to keep the water around the drill bit throughout the process. Take your time and you'll have the perfect hole in no time. The porcelain I work with is very hard and difficult to work with, but this piece did the job.

They worked really well. I just had to cut a few holes. I think you could actually cut some holes if you let the water flow while cutting. I cut porcelain stoneware in less than 1 minute with a drill with the tiles submerged in water. No problem keeping the entire saw centered when cutting with a drill press. I bought this to cut through ceramic wall tile while renovating a bathroom in a former tenement. The previous owners remodeled the tub/shower so we had to replace it with a new single lever faucet. This hole saw worked surprisingly well and made a very clean cut. Things you MUST know. It is not possible to use this hole saw by hand, you will need to get the guide this company sells to keep it centered until you make the hole. Otherwise you will roll it on the tile and scratch it badly. Trust me
