When I first received the device I noticed that the edges of both filters were covered with hot glue (see photo). I emailed customer service out of curiosity to see if this was normal and they said it wasn't. They sent me 2 new filters pretty quickly and these filters didn't have hot glue on the edges. But first it's about how it happened. After a month of infrequent use and just outside the return window, the humidifier fan started making a severe mechanical crunch. I'm just starting the warranty replacement process (see photo) and I'm hoping that the next unit will be better. However, these two issues are worrying and make me question the quality of the product. Update: I was sent a new block within a week. The fan of the new device makes a grinding noise after a few uses. I cannot recommend this product.
