Overall this rack works very well. I have a bare wall (not drywall) and am 110% sure that made the installation easier. First I adjusted it to 2x4 so it was a little farther from the wall and then I attached the 2x4 to the wall. However, I hit my first hurdle when I started assembling my server. The holes on the brackets are slightly offset. The first set of holes on this rack are directly opposite the back of the rack. This means I had to move my server forward a number of holes, wasting a whole unit of space in the process. I could mount my server as far from the wall as possible, but I like to mount the heaviest equipment closer to the wall.
