I use them every day with pans and even my deep fryer. They work very well, are easy to clean and prevent further cleaning later on. One note - the rims can get quite hot and make sure the lifting tab is facing the ceiling and not lying flat as these tabs can get very hot if left in a horizontal position. . Be careful! These shields don't always work - see my photo. I was cooking Chicken French with onions, and despite the fine weave of those splash guards, quite a bit of splatter ended up on the stove. I suspect the splatters are food residue combined with water vapor as these strainers work well with real fat. These screens do not prevent 99% of spatters as the seller claims. It's closer to 75% depending on what you're cooking. Hope that helps!
