I really wanted to fall in love with this lens. The broad potential was very exciting for me. As soon as I connected the camera to my Canon R5, I knew straight away that wide-angle shots would become part of my daily photography. However, the Sigma 14mm 1.8 simply CANNOT focus where I indicated the focus point. (Yes, I thought it was me. But it was the lens.) I could see the error both in the EVF and on the computer monitor and even in the printout. A few inches out of focus for close-up shots and a few feet out of focus for long-distance shots. I wanted to love this lens.
