Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Inateck PCIe to USB 3.0 Expansion Card - High-Speed Desktop Adapter for Windows XP/7/8/10 - 4 Ports, No Extra Power Required by David Lamfers

It does what it says on the tin

I was skeptical that this would be fully powered by an AC adapter without the need for power. My first thought was that it could only read/write and use other low power devices and wouldn't be able to power things like speakers or charge a phone/headset. You can buy without worry. He feeds everything! I specifically wanted this device because it doesn't require any additional power as the distance between my GPU and my latest PCIE is very short and I didn't want cables rubbing against my GPU fans. I just plugged it in and downloaded the drivers from the manufacturer's site. I believe Windows detected the device without me, but I prefer to use drivers that I get specifically from the manufacturer rather than letting Windows find them. The speed is quite high, I might add. I haven't run any tests, but they are just as fast if not faster than my USB 3.0 ports plugged directly into my motherboard.
