We used a larger case (3 x 5) for our keychain and while that size works fine for me (I just put it in my purse) it's a little big for my husband, to simply put it in his pocket. Our Porsche key fobs are longer and narrower than most other key fobs, so finding the right case was a challenge. I bought a smaller case in a different design (flap opens at the long end) and our keychains didn't fit. This design fits perfectly. The key fob is connected to the housing. In this case, due to the length of the key fob, it must be placed at an angle to secure the Velcro fastener. But. . . it really fits, protects (tested) and easily slips into a trouser or jacket pocket. It should be noted that the larger case of similar design had 2 pockets (only one is protected). Sometimes when I just ran into the store and didn't want to take my purse with me, I just slipped my ID and credit card into the case. This new mini case has only one pocket and is too small for an AC card. For me, this is a small disadvantage compared to the advantage of the significantly smaller size.
