Doesn't work anymore after a few months

Bought at the end of November, stopped working in mid-January. I have it on my desk connected to an external monitor. I've used it for occasional USB backups and to charge my phone - simple tasks for a simple device. The blue light is still on, but it no longer recognizes USB drives and does not charge the phone. I switched it to other power sources and also tried different charging cables. It's just dead. There are a lot of simple USB hubs out there; I bought the Anker version thinking it would be more reliable. Waste of money in the end.
