If your lips are severely chapped, this will help. It's a bit viscous and has a lot of body. But honestly, if your lips are sore and you want a protective coating to stop the stinging, this is the best I've found (I've tried 8 different types). In fact, it has neither taste nor smell. This is a clear gel. It's not particularly noticeable when applied.
