A little weird, yes, but they work!

They're definitely not fashion forward and a lot of people have given these bad reviews saying they look weird or something but I like them. I am a professional dog walker and use my bike to get to the dogs I walk. I go out in the rain and snow, ride my bike and then walk. I live in northern New Jersey and it rains and snows a lot here! I bought them thinking I had some decent rain gear but after a couple of heavy showers I got wet on my bike and walked and knew I needed more high tech gear. Originally I was looking for one of those rubber raincoats or gaiters that fishermen wear because I couldn't think of an alternative way to have waterproof pants when cycling or hiking in the rain. I liked that they weren't made of PVC or rubber, so I decided to give them a try. I'm so happy I did! Here are some things you should know: They're not very cute, but they get the job done. In this case, definitely a feature about fashion! However, they're not that ugly, they look like track pants and not so tight that at first glance it doesn't look like you're wearing weird pants or anything. said others. It's a pretty weird and weird feeling at first, but that's also to be expected when they're supposed to be 100% waterproof. They couldn't be made of soft, ordinary fabric and still be waterproof. So it's great if they're waterproof and comfortable to wear. They are much more flexible than the PVC or rubber suits I first looked at. They can get hot because they're not breathing, but they're not that bad if you dress properly. Due to the material, they can be worn over other clothing or pants. When it's cold raining I wear cotton leggings and that's perfect, especially when cycling. On a snowy day, fleece pants or sweatpants will probably do the trick and keep you warm. Wearing other clothes underneath is nice because you can remove them at the destination and dress as usual so I can dry off on my bike but still have regular clothes when I arrive where I'm going. In addition, they are very small when rolled up and can be easily stowed in a bag. They have a nice velcro strap at the bottom so you can fasten them around your ankles. They are a bit long but with rubber boots and velcro they don't stretch at all. They also have an elastic band at the waist that can be tightened. I also bought a Frog Toggs jacket and Frog Toggs poncho to pair with these pants for a full rain suit. I have run and ridden this season in very heavy rain and some snow and have been 100% dry and warm. After several hours of cycling and hiking in the pouring rain, the water didn't get wet and I was completely dry. They seem to be holding up so far and haven't ripped or fallen apart after a lot of use. But even if they only last one season I will definitely buy them again next year as they are worth the money. Even using them for just one season, I feel like I got my money's worth.
