I really wanted to touch and feel the sheets before I bought them but every sheet I saw in stores wasn't the feeling I was looking for. I wanted the strong but soft and expensive kind of good hotel sheets. That's it. They have a soft cotton feel (similar to linen and other fabrics. Not what I wanted) and they are even softer and retain their brightness. I took a chance and the price was more than competitive with other more expensive and inferior ones. I love these sheets and will be buying a few more pillowcases as this item will be washed more often and I always want that nice soft cotton feel to my pillow. The seller was correct in his description and I dared to see it unnoticed. Very happy with these sheets. Going through all the options and making the right choice wasn't easy.
