Review on Massager Tool,GOHIKING Shoulder Handheld Acupuncture by Steve Poe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heavy, durable tool, suitable for massagers and machines

I do "acupressure" (it's the same as acupuncture, but without the needles) regularly, but I only use my fingers. I've been thinking about getting one of these tools for a long time and finally I have it! This tool is surprisingly heavy. It looks like solid metal with no seams (stainless steel is written in the product information). It arrived in a long thin box with a flocked insert. There is a small end for hitting narrower points and a large end for wider points. I appreciate that several grips (in the form of rounded spheres) are built into the surface that prevent your hand from slipping when squeezing. It's actually easy to hold and easy to press against the skin. The tips on both ends are polished very smooth so it won't irritate or damage the skin. There is no pain or discomfort from the pressure. The bummer for me is that it doesn't seem to be any more therapeutic than using my fingers, although I'll keep trying if I can find a way to use this more effectively. I don't think it's a problem with the tool, it's just that my fingers are already working fine.

Pros
  • Portable and lightweight
Cons
  • Very expensive
