As my first Crown cable, I didn't know what to expect. The fit was perfect. The clip was a little tight going through the firewall. However, the plastic used in this clip was very different from the original. If you pull the original cable back and forth through the original clamp, it is very smooth. You can actually hear the crown wire scraping against the terminal. I installed it to see if the noisy wire saw-like action had any performance impact. Yes! Throttle spring resistance made the problem worse. Impossible to modulate. Ratchet-like operation. It would be a good backup cable, but I can't live with that. Can't rely on the start. Will kill my clutch if I try to use it. I hope my experience is exceptional.
