Exactly what I was (didn't know) looking for!
I recently bought a knee-length sweater with a hood and pockets in black cashmere. It's a "cardigan" but with no buttons or loops, so just hang it open. I started looking for "frogs" thinking I would end up buying the fabric string ones and then I saw these. Wow! I love that they look "vintage" and have a "matte" finish. I'm not a "fancy" person - I don't like gold or silver buttons or buttons that don't go well with clothes. They were easy to sew and looked very pretty. I took the sweater on a trip and used it on everything from an airplane blanket to a coat to a robe. These clasps made it perfect.
