First the good: It arrived quickly and in good condition. It is pretty easy and intuitive to use.The not so good: First, I did not receive the "- 1 storage pouch with belt loop" like it says I should have in the "Included Components." I don't like carrying it in my pocket or sitting it down where I have to get it all of the time. Second, the list of tree species did not include the firewood I get here in the Southwest, and there is no guidance or cross-reference on which species to use as surrogates. After some trial an error however, I don't think it will matter much because I got the same reading using settings A, B, C, and D. Lastly, it seems to be somewhat temperamental in that sometimes it won't display a reading, but when I move it around a while at different angles I eventually get a reading. It's not because the wood is too low or too high in moisture either, because when I did finally get readings it was between 9 and 15%. In fairness, I will change my rating if I find that there is some user error involved, but I still didn't get the pouch, so. UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered to make things right. After reading many of the good reviews, I have to believe my case is an isolated incident (it happens), and the fact that the company wants to satisfy its customers counts for a lot in my book, so I have changed my rating to reflect that.
