Review on Secbolt Horizontal Air Compressor Pressure Switch Control Valve 90-120 PSI - Efficient Manifold Regulator Gauges by Jon Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good switch, but no direct transition.

The pressure switch is in one piece. It is well made, metal contacts and on/off switch and 3 ports. The accessories he brought are what he lacks. If you are unfamiliar with pneumatic or mechanical equipment, this may not be for you! The kit included a lot of accessories, 2 pressure gauges, a regulator/manifold (cheap), a safety/relief valve (not sure about its quality) and a set of fittings. You can use all of these parts as shown, but I prefer a more customized and compact setup that is stronger and won't break from impact. Of course, as I said, if you're replacing something like a mechanical one, you'll need to buy additional parts to make it work. Not the fault of the manufacturer or the parts; There are just a lot of configurations that are 100% correct out of the box. I first had to switch from spade connectors to ring connectors on my wires to make the electrical connections. I used my old single port regulator/manifold, my old relief/bleed valve, the new gauges that came with the switch kit, and various fittings. (Lots of trips to multiple shops). A NOTICE. Due to dimensional changes (hose lengths) it may be necessary to replace the black air line from the tank to the pressure switch. This is a 1/4" air brake hose from an auto parts store. (You won't find it at a major hardware store; the plastic tubing there doesn't hold pressure and doesn't take heat.) Finally, instructions for adjusting the on/off pressure are included in the cover of the switch. They are true and they work. Think about it and be patient, it may take a few tries but you will get there (see video). Overall I am very satisfied, the switch works great, that first photo is my old switch, second is a fresh install.
