Review on 🖥️ SOFSYS 31" Computer Writing Desk: Ideal Home Office Workstation for Gaming, Designers & Entrepreneurs; Compact Design with Robust Metal Frame, Oak/Black by Shannon Taylor

I bought SOFSYS Desktop (Oak/Black, 63 inch) in addition to similar furniture that I already have in my home office. . My main concern with flat furniture is panel damage, so I was very happy when SOFSYS arrived with no damage. MDF tabletop, veneered under plywood (strange, IMHO). My worktop was packaged well enough that there was no damage to the edges or corners. The frame is made of steel with a rectangular cross-section. The steel is welded together, albeit unattractively. The welds can be sanded a bit to clean them up, but the finish is mostly just black paint with an eggshell finish. The paintwork is decent, with no noticeable streaks or surface defects. There are two rails, two leg assemblies, a table top and hardware/legs. Assembly is easy: 16 screws and 4 threaded legs must be used. Although the tolerances are decent, you should always assemble something like this by first hand tightening everything and then tightening when everything is together. It is also recommended to use a hex screwdriver instead of the supplied hex wrench. Since the thread inserts are installed in MDF, it is important not to overtighten. 7 out of 8 of my thread inserts were fine, but one of the leg mount thread inserts was loose in the MDF. Not great, but not the end of the world either, as the leg assemblies attach to both the rails and the table top. In general, returning the table was not worth it. Installation took less than 5 minutes and the only major issue for me was a bad threaded insert. Once assembled, the table is fairly solid, with no shelving to speak of (lateral displacement of the standing structure unless properly rigid/reinforced). For the price, the optics are fine and overall a worthwhile purchase.
