Yes, this frying pan is thin and light but seems to work great. It looks small at first glance, but I've baked a regular 15-ounce cake mix in it with no problem. I used a store bought nonstick cooking spray. As another user pointed out, the center tube is slightly higher than the bowl, making it a bit difficult to set the plate on and turn it over, but I managed it without too much trouble once it had cooled completely and the cake came out easily . Just follow the care instructions on the packaging the pan comes in and you shouldn't have any problems.
