Much better than a spiked sprinkler
The sprinkler mechanism is all metal and of very robust construction. I appreciated the clear instructions on what each of the adjustments did. The light weight of the base initially concerned me, however, when I hooked it up and ran the sprinkler, I found the base was perfectly adequate to hold the pulsating sprinkler in place even when placed on bare ground. Very nice unit, works very well. It is also much easier to place than the spiked sprinkler. Our soil is very hard when it gets dried out in the summer, this will provide a welcome alternative.
