Ideal for trail cameras that don't have strap slots big enough to fit a cable lock through and being flat and tight against wood it's harder for someone to reach either side of it around to cut it. Just be careful when putting it on and attaching it to the tree. The metal band is stiff and can be difficult to handle if you take your time and don't pay attention to what you're doing. It was getting dark and I was in a hurry to put it on and I broke the cheap plastic slots on one of my cameras while strapping it to a tree. Luckily since it's a flat metal strap I used some Gorilla Glue and just glued the strap directly to the back of the camera. It seems to be holding up. And I think if someone really wants to steal a camera that bad, they can always find a way to get it off the tree. But maybe a look at the lock will help an honest man stay honest.
