Review on 🔪 Fellowes 450M: SilentShred 9-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper and Credit Card Shredder - Black (4074001) by Tutan Dennard

Destroying card and media slots is more of a shortcut. See photo. There is no security with this slot. Worked fine for about 2 months then it started working continuously until you put paper in the paper slot then it stops. (Autofeed sensor not working as intended.) Revain contacted, they said to contact Fellowes. After a 30 minute phone call to Fellowes during which I thought I had broken the shredder with normal use, they agreed to send a replacement free of charge and instructed me to "dispose of" the old shredder in accordance with local laws ". I was doing a little troubleshooting on a "recycled" shredder and found that the card slot's IR receiver was bad (dim) and giving the shredder a signal to run continuously (card slot filled). With the paper slot blocked, both IR receivers were "dark". Start the anti-jam function on the grinder and stop the feed. I got a replacement card slot IR emitter and receiver for about $5 and the shredder is working properly again. Other reviews show that I'm not the only one with a bad IR receiver.
