My husband and I refuse to wear belts other than genuine leather. They just don't last long, and if they're not given to us, all we care about is the skin. THIS IS SKIN? This belt is deceptive at first. It says real leather, but at first glance the front and back are covered with a plastic coating. However, if you really want to know about its composition, check out the holes, cutouts, and edges. The edges of this belt are not polished as much as some other belts which is GOOD because here I can tell it is real full grain leather and not a bonded one. Because it is sealed on the front and back, it doesn't smell as bad as leather normally does. The back also ensures that the black color does not rub off of clothing and easily slips through belt loops. IS THIS BELT RIGID? very solid belt. This means it's not flimsy, draped and flimsy. This is a thick belt that has a lot of body but is flexible to fit comfortably around the body. It stretches a bit around the pant loops. Buckle The buckle has a very nice streamlined shape. It's a beautiful antique silver finish that's thick and attractive. It doesn't look cheap. SCREWS There are two screws that hold the buckle in place. This means you can remove them if you want to replace the buckle. SIZE This is used for one person in my family who usually gets a size 42 belt. It fits perfectly in the third hole so you can tuck the end in properly. KEY RING Included is a cute little key ring holder, also made of uncoated leather on the back, that clips around your belt to hold your keys. an antique brass hook that doesn't match the buckle, but if that doesn't bother you then it's a great addition. CONCLUSION This is a very durable, high quality belt. It doesn't feel leathery at first due to the sealing that even prevents odor, but it's a nice thick leather strap that will hopefully last a long time. husband likes it. MY RATING FIVE STARS. This is exactly what I was looking for. A simple belt with no fancy embellishments that can be worn up or down and is made to last. My husband will love wearing this belt as long as it stays on.
